At a 7.2 mil offer sheet it is (2) 1st's, (1) 2nd, and (1) 3rd if Dougie accepts the sheet and the Bruins don't match.

You think so? There are 9 other players they would dump to be compliant enough to match it. All an offer sheet does is ensure a player or several will be leaving the bruins. None of which will be Hamilton. Count on it

EDIT: When Chiarelli was GM, he claimed he would match any offer sheet offered to Hamilton no matter what the outcome. A statement that had the support of both Neely and Jacobs. No reason to believe that statement doesnt still hold true if your president and owner both agreed with it.

In short, Neely wont let Sweeney let Hamilton go. They will trade other pieces to be cap compliant.

My point exactly, IF Hamilton decides to sign one. Just dont see him as that kind of person.

Peter Chiarelli would not do that to his former club. There is way too much respect between the parties to do it.

Are there any good D-men prospects coming in the next few drafts? Just curious, I don't follow that stuff much. But it always seems like a forward is the top rated guy.

And cant remember any goalies but like I said I don't follow the draft and prospects much at all.

It will ony be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as the new compensation just came out this week:

2015 Draft Pick Compensation
$1,205,377 and below No compensation
$1,205,377 to $1,826,328 Third-round pick
$1,826,328 to $3,652,659 Second-round pick
$3,652,659 to $5,478,986 First- and third-round pick
$5,478,986 to $7,305,316 First-, second-, and third-round pick
$7,305,316 to $9,131,645 Two first-round picks and a second- and third- round pick
$9,131,645 and above Four first-round picks

And I'm not saying it will be the Oilers....Columbus maybe?
As much as they try and dump salary to create room - they have to have trading partners. And they need to ice the rest of the team, they may not be in a position to match an offer.

Why would you say this?

Both Columbus and Edmonton have these picks ready in 2016.

So what players will be involved in the upcoming Oilers/Bruins trade?

Lucic for Hall

Maybe Lucic for Eberle

Oilers wants some size, B's need to reshape the roster, and Lucic a prime trade candidate....

I think the starting point would be handed $25 million handed to Jonas Brodin, 21-years-old, over 6 years. Basically Johnnie Rockets money.

Does anyone have any insite to the rumored problems Looch has with his wrist?
